Kaleea Clinkscale wrote During My Time under the pseudonym Lee Lee Scales. She wanted the character and the author to be the same to provide a more realistic fictional novel. She is a mother of six children and has one grandbaby. She is currently attending the University of Arizona Global Campus for a Doctor of Philosophy in Organizational Development and Leadership (Ph.D.) Being a survivor of domestic violence fuels her advocacy with a local non-profit agency.
